Paganel Primary School follows the Birmingham City Council guidelines for admissions criteria.
Where the school is oversubscribed places will be allocated on the following criteria:
- Looked after or previously looked after children.
- Siblings (brother or sister who is still in attendance).
- Distance (children who live nearest the school measured in a straight line).
To apply for a place at the school during the Academic Year please complete an In-Year Admissions form. A copy is available to download below. Complete the form and post/bring it to the school: Paganel Primary School, Swinford Road, Birmingham B29 5TG or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If a space is not immediately available then the application will be added to our waiting list using the above criteria. Places will then be allocated as they become available to those on the waiting list.
Applying for a Reception place
Children in Birmingham can go to school (Reception) in September after their 4th birthday. Parents should apply for a place in the Autumn term before their child turns four-years-old. Applications must be made via Birmingham Council – this can be done online via their website, or you can request a paper form from the school office.
Please note that attendance at our nursery class does not give your child an automatic place in our Reception class. You must submit an application via Birmingham Council.
Applying for Secondary School
Applications for Secondary School must be submitted in the Autumn term when the child is in Year 6. Families will receive a letter with vital information about applying for secondary schools towards the end of the summer term when their child(ren) is in Year 5.
Applications must be submitted via Birmingham Council.
