Year 2 update

What a busy few weeks it has been! Children have settled into year 2 brilliantly and are enjoying learning.

They have been working hard in English where our focus books have been “The days the crayons quit” by Oliver Jeffers and “Gorilla” by Anthony Browne. A  In these lessons, children have written letters, diary entries and lovely stories. We have been so proud of their achievements.

In maths, we have worked on learning the names and properties of 2D and 3D shapes and are currently working on place value and addition.

At the beginning term, we learned about how our brains work and what improves our learning. Now as part of our topic lessons, we will be focusing on transport and getting from A to B in different ways.
